PRODUCT DESIGNER, EQUIPMENT // Created market leading backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, and luggage from concept to finished product that have gained placement worldwide. Managed and created the seasonal color palettes based on trend research, market analysis, merchandising, and brand DNA. Responsible for color, prints, and fabric selection across all categories in the Equipment department such as tents, sleeping bags, day packs, technical packs, luggage, and gloves. Extensive travel for material and trend research, vendor meetings and trade shows. Traveled to Asia to oversee factory production and textile manufacturing. SUSTAINABLE TASK FORCE LEAD // Attended courses and lectures on sustainable design, packaging, and business. Led sustainability brainstorms for the Hard Goods department. Created a line of bags from upcycled fabric remnants as a first step in a cradle to cradle manufacturing process.
